Timothy Sykes launches Investimonials. I always thought there was a huge need for a Brightscope style offering for RIAs and brokers – reporting and doing due diligence on them is impossible. I’m not sure this is the answer, but looks like a good first step and has potential. This is more retail oriented.
I would think it would be a lot more useful if the reviews were not anonymous – ie tied it into Facebook Connect, or maybe like Amazon’s system. That way you avoid people trashing/promoting certain products and sites.
If I were Sykes I would also pull all my products from being reviewed so that it doesn’t end up as a third party marketing site for his products.
If inclined, feel free to write the first review for World Beta or AlphaClone.

Thanks, yes, Facebook and Twitter integration is coming, but no I will not pull my stuff from the site, my products are just as good as everyone else's (if not better) and I encourage my subscribers to review my stuff and anything else they try…people will have problems with that, but people have problems with everything I do, all I can be is as brutally honest as possible!
I wish the site had a RIA review section. Near impossible to find info, especially performance for the RIAs out there…I think it is a big opportunity if done correctly.

Yes but there is potential for abuse, ie deleting users/posts, including more positive reviews…not saying you will, just the potential is there. Best of luck I think it could be really useful.
Gotcha yes, the only reviews we will delete will be the abusive/fake ones and we'll do our best to weed them out…already there is one financial firm that just spammed us with about 15 reviews on the same products from the same ip address…idiots, gotta delete that junk
