For bonds, I personally like BND more than AGG. TLT definitely represents an asset class, and should be included. Foreign treasuries (BWX) might be at least as valuable a class as foreign REITs? Also cash is an asset class, so consider including SHY, SHV, or BIL.

I don't consider these core asset classes, but zeros and jnk bonds have their own performance peculiarities; EDV, JNK

Precious metals definitely quack differently than commodities, so I would add CEF or GLD.

I think LSC is going to rank up their with RYMFX eventually.

I don't have a ticker to share, but I would like to see a listed long-short or market-neutral strategy that makes money at least as often as it loses money ;->

You might consider adding the new hedge fund replication ETF (QAI), and under "covered calls" Powershares has a buy-write S&P 500 ETF (PBP).

Arguably, Powershares' Dorsey Wright Technical Leaders ETF could be considered a momentum-based performance hedge fund (PDP), although maybe it's more analogous to quant/rule-based long only active ETFs.

It seems unnecessary to include both DBC and GSP -- I guess I don't understand the big distinction between them. I'd prefer that you use only DBC (much more liquid).

I looked further at covered calls funds. BEP (not GATEX) would be the preferred choice there.
