Go to Seeking Alfalfa, er Alpha.

The main page has ads. Money from these goes to the aggregator.

Click on an article. That page has ads. Money from these goes to the aggregator.

If you took the money from the article page, and gave it to the content provider, the aggregator would still make money from the ads on the main page.

I was contacted about this a few weeks ago, and pressed the lady for details about the quid pro quo. It's been my experience that MSM and aggregator types absolutely hate it when those poor, amateur, idiot, and untrustworthy-as-news-sources bloggers ask for details up front, and this was no exception. The conversation through email was something like this, in paraphase:

Her: "Could we set up a time to talk so that I can give you a verbal hard sell on this deal, including some crapola about how it'll drive more traffic to you?" Me: "If this is a serious offer, you can put some details in an email first." Her: Sound of crickets chirping. I've retained the emails for use in exact quotes later, if need be. I ain't shy. Wuz gunna post on it, but now ya beat me to it, padnuh.

Have you read the "Terms & Conditions for Publishers" yet? If you want a copy, email me and I'll send you one.

;-)
